We are pleased to be partnering with the Equality Community Center in Portland, Maine for an afternoon of Food, Fellowship, and Conversation centered on the themes in the Midrash parable of The Deep Well: Generativity and the Wisdom in the 2nd half of life.

This event is open to the Lesbian Elders in the LGBTQIA+ community.

Your facilitators will be SCS Maine Chaplains Sally Thomas and Karen St. Peter.

This Free event is made possible by a CHEF grant from Hannaford Supermarket and the Maine council on aging:

The focus of the CHEF (Connection, Health, and Equity through Food) grant program, funded by Hannaford Supermarkets Eat Well. Be Well initiative, was to increase older adults' equitable access to food and social connections in their communities. Priority was given to projects and programs that serve traditionally underserved populations - diverse older people, veterans, and older people living with disabilities or in rural communities. The grant period was from September 2023 – September 2024. Grants were provided to 107 organizations and will support nearly 300,000 older adults throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York.
