Our Services

Individual Support

SCS Maine began as a referral service connecting individuals with chaplains during the isolation of the Covid pandemic.

While we have emerged from the constraints of social distancing guidelines, we continue to keep our referral line open. Individuals from anywhere in the state may contact SCS Maine and expect to receive a call from one of our chaplains within 24 hours. For organizations and government agencies, our referral line is a conduit for offering your employees, clients, or patients remote support seven days a week.

Chaplains provide individual conversations and support through reflective listening and non-judgmental presence. Chaplains are compassionate souls who provide a confidential level of support to people who are suffering.

Organizational Programming

SCS Maine partners with government agencies, medical facilities, senior living communities, and other non-profits wishing to bring consistent spiritual care to the communities that they serve.

Crisis Support

We can provide in-person or remote support for emergency responders, victims, and other affected persons. As a part of our referral system, we can provide support seven days a week making compassionate care available when you need us!

Group Support

We provide group support by offering grief and bereavement groups, mindfulness and meditation groups, Critical Incident Stress Management, after-suicide care, spiritual programming, and rituals and services.

Trainings and Webinars

We offer trainings about moral injury, cultivating resilience, developing spiritual tools, disaster spiritual care, and spiritual first aid.

The folks who have spent time here from Spiritual Care Services of Maine have been critical in showing up for our youth as well as staff in a supportive, non-judgmental way. They have been able to build relationship with youth and staff that feels accessible, unconditional, and available as needed. They have shown up for the New Beginnings community in times of great trauma as well as in times of happiness and celebration. We look forward to maintaining this highly beneficial relationship going forward.
